Please be at the venue in costume with hair and make up done at least 1 hour before the section start time given below.

The easiest way to get there is to go over the Roseville Bridge, continue along Warringah Rd until Beacon Hill.

Turn right into Beacon Hill Rd and at the bottom of the hill turn left at the first set of lights.

Turn left at the next set of lights onto Pittwater rd and take an immediate left into Alfred Rd.

As you would all know Kurt has successfully auditioned for a couple of roles in the new musical about Cat Steven’s life. He will be in Melbourne with this show for the next two terms. In his place we are really excited to have Dean Vince. Dean has just finished the Sydney season of Love Never Dies and is really looking forward to working with everyone and passing on his stage/dance experience to the eisteddfod groups.

2012 Jazz Eisteddfod Groups

If you intend to return to eisteddfod groups in 2012 please re register via email.

Please notify us which age group you will be returning to:

10/u can turn 11 after July 2012

12/u can turn 13 after July 2012

14/u can turn 15 after July 2012 (Miss Erin has advised that all of the 14/under group from 2011 should go up to the Open age section in 2012.)

If you wish to be considered for an eisteddfod group in 2012 for the first time – please send via email; your birthdate details, your 2011 jazz class and teacher and which dance/s you were in in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

To be considered you must be aware that eisteddfod group is a year long commitment, not only to yourself and the academy but also to all the other students in the troupe.
You will be required to attend 2 hours of rehearsal every Saturday during term time.
There are compulsory rehearsals during April school holidays.
You will be performing in and around Sydney on a number of weekends during the competition season from April till August.
There will be extra costs involved for costumes and eisteddfod entries.
At concert time, rehearsals may be longer on a Saturday afternoon.
You will be required to represent LCDA amazingly, perform on many occasions and have great fun!

2012 Ballet Eisteddfod Groups

The 12/u ballet group from 2011 will all progress to the 14/under section in 2012.

Due to restrictions in our studio space and class growth, we unfortunately won’t be able to offer a 10/under ballet eisteddfod group as we were hoping to do.

Any student that is interested in this group is encouraged to join our 10/u ballet group at Roseville. These rehearsals are on Tuesday 4.00 to 5.00.

Contemporary Classes 2012

Attention all students continuing with contemporary classes in 2012 – You will all stay in THE SAME class that you were in during 2011. If you were in junior contemporary you will stay in junior contemporary and so on.

Obviously this doesn’t mean that you won’t be progressing with your skill level, it is just for class management reasons. We will have a Pre contemporary class in 2012 for the younger contemporary beginners.

As the names junior, intermediate and senior don’t relate to the skill level of the classes, we are looking to change the names of these groups. Please send us through your suggestions if you have any.
