Here are just a few notes/reminders before the beginning of Term 2.
Classes begin on Monday 30th April.
Please take time to read all of the information below because it contains very important information regarding:
- The End of Year Performance
- Costume Deposits – opt out by 10 June 2018
- Term 2 invoices
- Charges for Performance Group Costumes, Entry Fees and Holiday Classes
- Performance Group Competition Dates
- END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE
The end of year performance is the highlight of the year for all our students. To help you plan your Christmas holidays and other festive activities, please add the following dates in your diaries. All information regarding rehearsals will be posted on the website.
TBA – Photo Day at LCDA
TBA – Full School Dress Rehearsal at LCDA
Wednesday 12th December – Full School Dress Rehearsal at Shore Theatre
Saturday 15th & 16th December – Show Days
- COSTUME DEPOSITS
The Academy has an OPT OUT policy regarding participation in the end of year performance. This means we assume all students will participate in ALL performances for the academy they are enrolled in and a costume deposit of $40 has been applied to each of the classes your child is enrolled for Term 2.
If your children are NOT available on concert dates or you DO NOT WISH them to participate, the onus is on you to tell us. PLEASE advise by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) before 10 June 2018 if your child will not be involved in the end of year concert. The Costume Deposit charged will be adjusted on your invoice on receipt of the email notice. Payment of the costume deposit secures your place in the concert.
What happens if you do not advise us that your child will not be in the concert before 10 June 2018?
Costumes require a considerable lead time to ensure they arrive before the concert dates. Most costumes are custom made overseas and unless ordered early, cannot be re-ordered with sufficient time to arrive before the performance dates. If you do not advise the Academy by 10 June 2018, the Academy assumes you will be in the concert and a costume will be ordered. Once ordered, the full cost of the costume will be payable by you.
- TERM 2 INVOICES
Term 2 invoices have been raised and are available on the Family Portal. Term 2 invoices include:
- a) Class Tuition Fees
- b) Costume Deposits for each class enrolled – see above
- c) Eisteddfod Ancillary Costs – only if your child is in Performance Group
- d) A Late Fee if your term 1 invoice remains unpaid.
If you have any problems regarding your fees, please contact the office by email email@example.com so that we can make appropriate adjustment as required.
- CHARGES FOR PERFROMANCE GROUPS ONLY – COSTUME / ENTRY FEES / HOLIDAY CLASSES
For those enrolled in Eisteddfods classes your term 2 invoice includes your usual class fees for weekly tuition as well as a one off charge for the year, which covers additional costs associated with competitions. These costs include the holiday classes attended over the April school holidays, a competition costume and entry fees to competitions.
- PERFORMANCE GROUP DATES
Dates for Northern Beaches Eisteddfod & Sydney Eisteddfod are now posted on our website. A draft timetable for Extreme Dance Competition is also available. Please put these dates in your diary and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We hope that everyone enjoys this term.
