2022 Term 3 Newsletter
We hope everyone has enjoyed a relaxing break.
Thank you to our students for all their hard work during Term 2. It’s so pleasing to have an uninterrupted year (so far) in the studio.
We are so incredibly proud of our students who performed at the Cecchetti Ballet Australia National Conference during the first week of the holidays. These students display such beautiful artistry & technique as well as commitment & professionalism. We are so glad to have them represent LCDA & Cecchetti NSW.
They also had the opportunity to make new friends with dancers from across NSW and we can’t wait to continue these friendships when we meet at Eisteddfods and future Cecchetti events.

Students auditioned in February and were selected from over 100 dancers from across NSW. They have been rehearsing on Sundays throughout the year preparing for the conference held on 8th & 9th July at NIDA.
Our 14/U Contemporary Group have been representing LCDA at events across Sydney. They were invited to perform at Cecchetti Ballet Australia’s Lucie Saronova Memorial Awards during the holidays. As one of the top groups at The Ultimate Dance Challenge, they were also invited to perform at their gala night at the end of Term 2.
We also had some wonderful competition results; you can find the full list of competition results at the end of this newsletter.
We’re looking forward to another busy term; with the 2nd half of our competition season, ballet exams and the beginnings of our concert preparations.
Please remember the academy does not have pupil free days like the education system. Our first day of Term 3 is Monday 18th July.
