We have such a busy term ahead but first we would like to reflect on some of our achievements in Term 3!

CECCHETTI BALLET EXAMINATIONS

Congratulations to all of our students from Pre-Primary to Advanced 1 who sat their Cecchetti Ballet Examinations. We are so proud of each and every student who worked hard to achieve their best result.

If your child hasn’t received their results yet, they will be handed out during your child’s first ballet class this term.

CECCHETTI BALLET SCHOLARSHIPS

Congratulations Amelia G who received the Cecchetti Ballet NSW Advanced 1 Scholarship for 2024.
Special mentions were awarded to Sienna K & Kiara M.
Scholarships are awarded by the interstate Cecchetti Ballet Australia examiner who chooses from all the students who sat their exam in NSW this year! Scholarships are not purely awarded based on marks; the examiner has the tough decision of choosing students from each grade who they thought were outstanding in their examination.
Congratulations girls!

RAMBERT GRADES EXAMINATIONS

During the holidays, selected students sat their Rambert Grades Examination. These are the first contemporary exams that we have held at Lane Cove Dance Academy, and after a successful first attempt we are excited to hold exams for all contemporary levels in 2025.

AUSTRALIAN BALLET SCHOOL INTERSTATE TRAINING PROGRAM
We are excited to share with you that Emily T has been accepted into The Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program for 2025! This beautiful young dancer has put in so much hard work this year, we are so proud of her.

ALL STUDENTS – Rehearsals & Photo Day

Sunday 1st December – Full School Rehearsal at LCDA

Sunday 8th December – Photo Day at LCDA

Wednesday 11th December – Rehearsal at Glen Street Theatre (students must attend this rehearsal in order to be a part of our end of year production).

PERFORMANCE DATES

RED SHOW GROUP – Kindergarten, Year 2, 4, 6 & 8 Students (school years)

Thursday 12th December – 6:30pm performance at Glen Street Theatre

Saturday 14th December – 11am performance at Glen Street Theatre

Students must perform in both Thursday & Saturday shows.

WHITE SHOW GROUP – Year 1, 3, 5 & 7 Students (school years)

Friday 13th December – 6:30pm performance at Glen Street Theatre

Saturday 14th December – 4pm performance at Glen Street Theatre

Students must perform in both Friday & Saturday shows.

Year 9+ Students, Performance Group Students & some additional classes

The following classes will perform in all 4 shows; Thursday 12th at 6:30pm, Friday 13th at 6:30pm & Saturday 14th, 11am & 4pm.

Concert tickets will go on sale on Thursday 14th November. Please make sure you subscribe to the website to receive booking information.

If you have two children and they are performing in separate show groups (e.g. a Kindergarten student (RED group) and Year 3 student (WHITE group)) please contact the office for discounted show tickets, LaneCoveDanceAcademy@gmail.com

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

We are seeking parents who wish to be involved in volunteering during the upcoming LCDA concert season. Kids get a huge kick out of seeing their parents get involved.

We require interested parents for all of the above dates.

Duties involve signing children in and out, ensure children are safely supervised, and are ready to take the stage.

TERM 4 INVOICES & COSTUME BALANCE

Term 4 invoices will be raised soon. You will receive an email once they are ready to be viewed & paid via your family portal.

Costume balances will be added to your Term 4 invoice. Your child will have a different costume for every class they are enrolled in.

If you did not advise the Academy that your child was not participating in the concert, before 1st June 2024, a costume was ordered and the full cost is now payable through your family portal. This cost must still be paid even if your child no longer attends the Academy. You will be notified once your costume is ready to be picked up.

Students with unpaid invoices will not be given their end of year concert costume, will not be able to purchase concert tickets or enrol in classes for 2025.

TERM 4 DATES

Term 4 will start on Monday 14th October and finish on Saturday 14th December.

However, our last day of classes at the studio will be Tuesday 10th December. From Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th, we will be at the theatre.

2024 SUMMER SCHOOL

Our 2024 Summer School will be held Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd January.
