2027 Performance Groups

Are you interested in being a part of one of our award winning Performance Groups in 2027?

Lane Cove Dance Academy Performance Groups are a great opportunity that encourages students to further their dance technique and learn important stage performance skills, build teamwork as well as to make new friends.

2027 Commitment
The Performance Group is a representation of the high standard of dancers within Lane Cove Dance Academy so if selected, we expect continuous commitment to your group.

Attendance at ALL classes and ALL performances is compulsory.

Students must be committed to attend:

Weekly Performance Group class at LCDA

Weekly classes at LCDA;

Ballet Performance Group students must attend 2 Ballet classes in addition to their Performance Group class.
Jazz Performance Group students must attend 1 Jazz & 1 Ballet class in addition to their Performance Group class.
Contemporary Performance Group students must attend 1 Contemporary & 1 Ballet class in addition to their Performance Group class.
Hip Hop Performance Group students must attend 1 Hip Hop class in addition to their Performance Group class.

April school holiday rehearsals, 12th -15th April

5 to 6 competitions during weekends in Terms 2 & 3. Students should be available for all weekends from 1st May to 26th September (we will not enter competitions on the weekends of 10th/11th & 17th/18th July, NSW Public school holidays).

Performance Group Showcase at the end of Term 3

All 5 LCDA end of year concerts & associated rehearsals

If you cannot commit to all of the above, being a part of one our Performance Groups in 2027 may not be for you.

Students must be attending classes at LCDA in 2026 in a particular style if they wish to be considered for a group in that style in 2027. E.g., you must have been attending contemporary classes at LCDA this year in order to be considered for a Contemporary Performance Group in 2027.

Lane Cove Dance Academy teachers will select students to be part of the 2027 Groups based on past commitment to a group and/or classroom etiquette, technique & end of year performances. Registering your interest or previous selection in a Performance Group does not guarantee selection in one of our 2027 Performance Groups.
