At the beginning of 2020 who could have imagined a Term 2 quiet like that!
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing families who stuck with us during this difficult time. As well as all the people who sent such lovely messages of encouragement and support.

TERM 1 & 2 ACHIEVEMENTS
CECCHETTI SCHOLARS
We are so proud of the following students who have been selected as Cecchetti Ballet NSW Scholars for 2020:
Junior – Amelia, Emma, Hannah & Lola
Intermediate – Emma, Maya & Lucy
Senior – Vienna, Elizabeth, Imogen & Olivia
This is a unique program, and a wonderful opportunity for the girls to be coached by nationally and internationally acclaimed professional dancers & teachers. Hopefully they will be able to resume face to face classes in Term 3.
CECCHETTI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
We were so excited for our selected students to be a part of this amazing opportunity, to work with other talented Cecchetti Ballet students from across NSW, create new friendships & perform in front of an international audience.
Unfortunately the Cecchetti Conference will not go ahead at this time but we hope these students have the opportunity to participate in 2021.

COMPETITIONS
Congratulations to Holly who placed 1st in Shine Bright Dance Challenge which was conducted online!
Well done to Chrystina who received a Highly Commended at SBDC.

We were excited to be nominated as a finalist in the Australia Small Business Champion Awards. These awards were due to be awarded in March be have been postponed to August 29th.
ALUMNI
Congratulations to ex-student Chayan who will join Saarländisches Staatstheater in August as an apprentice dancer. Chayan has been studying at Palucca University of Dance in Germany since 2017 and has obviously been working hard in order to gain his first professional contract. We are very proud of him!
We are also very proud of Olivia (Alegria Dance Studios), Kate (ED5 International) & Lara (Tanya Pearson Academy) who all began full-time dance study this year. We can wait to see how these talented performers grow.
TERM 3 INVOICES
Invoices have now been raised for Term 3 and are available on the Family Portal. Please find instructions on how to log in, view & pay your invoice below.
Invoices are due on 17th July. Due to the 4 square meter rule, class sizes are still limited. We would appreciate it if you could please let us know of any changes to your enrolment ASAP in order to allow other students join.
If invoices are left unpaid, and your child is enrolled in a class with a wait-list, your space in that class will be offered to another student.
ACTIVE KIDS & CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
To use your vouchers towards your invoice just send us;
- Child’s full name as it appears on the voucher
- D.O.B. (not the voucher expiry date)
- 16 digit voucher number (not the voucher please)
We will then apply it to the invoice and you can pay as normal through the family portal.
Please note that Active/Creative Kids Vouchers WILL NOT be applied to overdue invoices, vouchers MUST be received by the Academy before the due date of the invoice.
Active/Creative Kids Vouchers will not be transferred to another organisation once LCDA/RDA have received them. Nor will they be accepted from another Active/Creative Kids Provider.
BALLET EXAMS
We are hoping that students will be able to sit their Cecchetti Ballet Examinations in Terms 3 & 4.
Students in Year 2 and above must be attending two ballet lessons a week in order to be considered for their ballet exam. Students will be selected at the discretion of the principals to undertake these examinations.
As soon as we have confirmed dates they will be posted on our website.
PERFORMANCE GROUPS
We are hoping that our Performance Groups will be able to compete later in the year.
Once competitions have confirmed their dates, Performance Groups students will be emailed and information will be posted on our website.
TERM DATES
Term 3, Monday 20th July-Saturday 26th September
Term 4, Monday 12th October-TBA
Please remember the academy does not have pupil free days like the education system. Our first day of term is generally on a Monday unless it falls on a public holiday.
UNIFORM
You can purchase the uniform from BLOCH in Westfield, Chatswood. Details can be found on our website (www.lcda.com.au/uniforms or for Roseville www.ndsb.com.au/uniform). If you tell them at Bloch you are attending Lane Cove or Roseville Dance Academies they will know what to give you and you can apply for a privilege card in-store.
Good grooming is essential. All ballet students (Kindergarten age & above) must have their hair in a ballet bun if they wish to participate in class. For all other dance styles students must have their hair up. Please do not wear jewellery or watches into any dance class.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT
Go to www.lcda.com.au or www.roseville.ndsb.com.au
Locate the gold Family Portal Button on the Home page of the website and click to log on to your account.
New users to the system: If you are a first time user, use the same email address that was entered on your enrolment form. Enter the same email address in the Forgotten Password field and click on submit to retrieve a password. Do NOT use the New Registration button, we have already created an account for you. A password will be sent to your email address. Go back to the login screen and enter your email address into the Username field and new password into the password field and then click submit.
Once you have logged in, your invoice can be located by clicking on “Financials”. Check the detail by clicking on the invoice number in blue.
To make a payment click on “Pay” and follow the instructions for the checkout.
If you have any problems with the invoice please notify the office by email immediately so we can adjust your invoice as required.
